Arm Lift After Weight Loss in Toronto

What this procedure may address

  • Hanging upper-arm skin
  • Axillary folds
  • Chest-wall extension
  • Friction or clothing difficulty
  • Residual localized fat

What patients need to understand

The longer scar is the mechanism of correction. Scar position can migrate and scar quality cannot be guaranteed.

Assessment and planning

Planning assesses extension onto the chest, lymphatic swelling, skin quality, nutrition and whether arm surgery should be combined with breast or chest contouring.

Recovery

Arm elevation and lifting are restricted. Compression may be used. Wound separation and swelling can prolong recovery.

Individual postoperative instructions take priority over general timelines published online.
