More liposuction is not the answer to every irregularity. Thin tissue, poor skin elasticity and scarring can make additional removal unsafe or worsen the defect.
Assessment and planning
Assessment includes standing examination, skin mobility, thickness, scar planes and original operative details. Treatment may involve limited suction, fat grafting, scar release, skin excision or no surgery.
Recovery
Revision swelling and firmness may be prolonged. Final assessment requires patience because scarred tissue changes slowly.

Risks and limitations
The proposed benefits must be weighed against risks that include:
