Planning uses implant records and imaging where available. The existing pocket, capsule, skin, breast tissue and nipple position are assessed before the replacement device is selected.
Recovery
Recovery varies with the amount of capsule and pocket work. Swelling and implant-position changes continue for months. Future monitoring and additional surgery remain possible.

The proposed benefits must be weighed against risks that include:
